International cooperation is an important vector of university development. The Department of Administrative and Financial Management of IAPE has launched two more double diplomas programmes, with Middlesex University (England) and the Slovak University of Agriculture. Oleh Duma, Deputy Head of AFM Department, told us more about new opportunities.
– Recently we have spoken with you about the development of dual diploma programs at the AFM Department. How do you develop them now?
– For the last six months, we launched two more double diplomas programmes. These are a dual diploma program with Middlesex University in the field of Financial and Economic Security Management and a dual diploma program with the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra in the same field. Thus, we implemented a plan to create equal opportunities for studying abroad for students of both specialties of the Department, as we have had such cooperation in the field of Public Administration since 2015.
– British universities are quite famous in the world, many higher education institutions are interested in cooperation with them. How did you manage to do it?
– EU has well-developed scientific and educational cooperation between universities. Our current partner – the Slovak University of Agriculture – had already established cooperation with Middlesex University, so we took the opportunity to discuss such cooperation with our University. Thus, it was decided to launch a double diplomas programme in the field of Financial and Economic Security Management at Lviv Polytechnic and the International Economics and Development at Middlesex University. The relevant agreement was signed.
