On February 1, a working meeting was held regarding the possibilities of the Ukrainian Startup Fund for Lviv Polytechnicians in 2023. Ivan Demydov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, Lviv Polytechnic, Roman Nebesnyi, head of the Research and Development Department, Nazar Podolchak, head of Tech StartUp School, and Mariia Krasnoshchok, compliance manager of the Ukrainian Startup Fund, attended the meeting.
The parties discussed opportunities for the development of science-intensive startups of Lviv Polytechnicians with the assistance of the initiatives of the Ukrainian Startup Fund, in particular, the current Science&Business program – GIST Pitch Days. This is a series of events from the Innovation Development Fund (Ukrainian Startup Fund) and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which will take place with the aim of combining the scientific and innovative potential of researchers, startupers, companies, experts, investors, and media; searching for innovative ideas and solutions, as well as raising awareness of business issues, marketing, sales, investment and innovation.
Science&Business – GIST Pitch Days is an opportunity for researchers and entrepreneurs with ready-made science-intensive solutions to gain experience presenting their startups and receive financial support in the amount of $5,000 for the development of their innovations.
Priority sectors for 2023: health care, agricultural technologies and biotechnology, energy and ecology, industry and infrastructure. Applications can be submitted until February 20.
The participants of the meeting have planne to hold a number of joint online and offline events, and outlined areas of cooperation in 2023.
