This year’s admission campaign at Lviv Polytechnic National University was more dynamic than in the previous few years. According to the Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee of Lviv Polytechnic, Mykhailo Honchar, in general entered all who intended to do it.
– This year we had a lot of government-funded places. 2127 out of 2457 entrants recommended for government-funded places, submitted the original documents ... In general, for government-funded places there were enrolled more students than in the previous year. The same situation is with the paid form of study. Now we have 2443 full-time and about 200 extramural students. Since the additional enrollment for study continues, we can predict that in total we will have about 5 thousand entrants for bachelor’s degree, said Mr. Honchar
A slightly different situation is with entrants for junior specialist degree. There are about 20% less entrants compared to the last year. Mykhailo Honchar said this is due to the fact that such entrants need to pass additional exams, and this is somewhat troublesome.
As for master students, there are already 1425 students enrolled for the government-funded places and about 1500 entrants who will pay for their study.
It can be said that 75% of the entrants are residents of the western region of the country.
