The team of the Lviv Online Lab project visited the center of innovations and startups - Tech StartUp School, Lviv Polytechnic National University. We talked to the head of the center, as well as to the boys and girls who create innovations. We saw a lot of things which we barely put in one issue of the program.
All because there is so much in one place: from a biotech lab, robots and electric bikes to a recording studio and the creation of 3D postcards based on models of architectural monuments. Here young and creative people will tell about the scientific side of what they do.
Tech StartUp School is developing multimedia projects, including Lingart, an audiobook application, and Skeiron, a cultural heritage digitizer for preservation, reconstruction and restoration. Also, there are BioTechHub – a free access laboratory that will be the center of biotechnological ideas and startups, and Tech LabInno – a free space with modern technological equipment for innovators who need to make technological prototypes for further project commercialization.
More details – in the video of the program. The video was shot on the eve of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
What did Tech StartUp School do during the war? There is also such information, in particular:
- it opened the Museum of Science and Innovation together with the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine at 7 Sichovykh Striltsiv Street;
- it supports startups that have moved to the city, conducts entrepreneurship trainings, and runs the Startup Batiary course for children;
- Skeiron digitizes architectural monuments in Lviv in case they are damaged by war.
