SID CITY is the largest among other Science Parks in the country, its authorized capital is UAH 3.12 million. The founders are Lviv Polytechnic and a number of private companies, including SoftServ Corporation, Gal-Kat Enterprise, LLC Asset Management Company Royal-Standart and Community organization Tech Startup School.
At the opening of the Science Park its Director Nazarii Podolchak emphasized that the main idea of SID CITY is to develop innovations and create scientific environment. The priority areas are new and renewable energy sources, mechanical engineering, resource-saving technologies, microelectronics, telecommunications, improvement of chemical technologies, etc.
SID CITY will soon conclude joint venture agreements with Ukrainian and foreign investors. Companies, which cooperate with the Science Park, will have state-guaranteed benefit packages, in particular for paying rent for state or municipal property, as well as tax preferences.
Rector of Lviv Polytechnic Yurii Bobalo told about the importance of SID CITY for the further development of the University.
– Today’s event is very important for Lviv Polytechnic, because the creation of Science Park is a prospect for the future. Our University has great opportunities, and Science Park will unite them. I think people who invest in the creation of SID CITY are interested in its development, said Rector Yurii Bobalo.
The leadership of the Lviv Regional State Administration also has high hopes for the Science Park. The founder of the LLC Asset Management Company Royal-Standart Andrii Dribniuk, the Director of Lviv Office of the State Finance Institution for Innovations Andrii Borys and the Chairman of the Association of Banks in Lviv Region Serhiy Boyko have expressed their support for Science Park.
