On October 16, at the Institute of Enterprise and Advanced Technologies of Lviv Polytechnic there was a meeting with a French photographer of Ukrainian origin Kyrylo Horishnyi.
Under the influence of French motives, Mr. Horishnyi decided to create a Ukrainian graphic novel based on the work by Ivan Franko «The Unwilling Hero», which was published by the publishing house «Leopol». The artist was Mikhail Timoshenko. Let’s note that the book «The Unwilling Hero» won the award for Best Visualization at the Publishers’ Forum 2017.
Kyrylo decided not to limit himself only to Galician motives and to do something that would connect Ukraine and France. Thus, Father Goriot by Honore de Balzac was published. Mr Horishnyi is currently planning to publish Lesia Ukrainka’s The Forest Song.
