In accordance with the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine dated August 9, 2023 No. 3297-IX «On nominal scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for young scientists – Doctors of Science» and the submission of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Education, Science and Innovation in 2023, 48 personal scholarships of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for young scientists -Doctors of Science – were granted to carry out scientific and technical works.
In particular, scholarships were awarded to two scientists of Lviv Polytechnic National University:
- Ivan Opirskyi – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor at the Department of Information Security, the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology, for his work «Development and improvement of information protection methods for countering unauthorized access to objects of information activity and their telecommunication networks»;
- Sviatoslav Polovkovych – Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor at the Department of Technology of Biologically Active Substances, Pharmacy and Biotechnology, the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies, for his work «Design and synthesis of condensed heterocyclic systems based on 1,4-quinones, quinoxalines and 1,3,5-triazines».
Each scholarship will be paid monthly in the amount of five living wages for able-bodied people.
