A representative of Progresstech-Ukraine visited the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Welding, the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and Transport, Lviv Polytechnic, where, in particular, they teach specialty No. 134 «Unmanned aerial vehicles». The meeting was held at the invitation of Professor Olesia Maksymovych, head of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Welding.

Progresstech-Ukraine is a design bureau with almost a thousand engineers. Today, most of the company’s projects are related to the design of aviation equipment, in particular civil aircrafts manufactured by Boeing. The company’s work is focused exclusively on engineering services. Progresstech-Ukraine has been on the market since 2007 and is the country’s leading company in its field. The main office is located in Kyiv.

Maksym Hladskyi, head of the company’s HR department, told the students about the career opportunities that the company provides to entrants of technical institutions.

– We have a need for specialists in several fields, primarily aviation, rocket-space and mechanical engineering. We are also looking for specialists in machine engineering, electronics and other technical specialties. It is interesting that the lion’s share of employees in our company do not have a professional education in the field of aviation. Therefore, we do not aim to hire only aviation graduates. Our company is presented at Lviv Polytechnic, because this academic year, for the first time, students were enrolled here for the specialty «Unmanned aerial vehicles», where they study the design of aerial vehicles. We want to support students who chose this difficult aviation path, so we talked about the prospects of the industry. In our company, you can fully realize yourself: go from a beginner to a leading engineer. In addition, there is an opportunity to work on international programs, or to realize your ambitious goals while staying here in Ukraine, said Maksym Hladskyi.

At the meeting, the representative of the Progresstech-Ukraine company discussed the roadmap of cooperation with the OGEW Department. According to Professor Olesia Maksymovych, there are lots of plans that are to be jointly implemented in the future.

Let us remind you that the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering and Welding received for educational needs four drones from the Polish Micromacro Institute Foundation free of charge.
