Leonid Dmytrovych Kyzymenko (1977-2015) - Candidate of Technical Sciences, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Honored Educator of Ukraine, founder of the Scientific Psychological and Pedagogical School. Under his leadership, express diagnostic methods were developed that are used in the activities of government agencies, in the education system, in advertising, in control systems for moving objects, in expert systems, etc.
Yurii Kozlovskyi (2015-2022), Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, and author of more than 140 scientific papers, monographs, manuals and textbooks. The scientific school of Professor Yurii Kozlovskyi is focused on researching the problem of modelling the scientific activity of higher education institutions, educational integration, and educational economics. During his leadership of the department, he created a team of like-minded scientists who implemented research on the topic "Theoretical and methodological foundations of personal and professional development of a modern specialist in the context of integration into the international educational space" (state registration number 0121U113179). Under the supervision of Professor Kozlovskyi Y. M. at the department: a specialized Academic Council for the defence of candidate's dissertations; a specialized Academic Council for the defence of doctoral dissertations in the specialities 011 "Educational, Pedagogical Sciences" and 015 "Vocational Education (by specializations) of the field of knowledge 01 Education, Pedagogy; licensed and accredited educational and professional programs of the first (bachelor's), second (master's) and third (educational and scientific) levels in the specialities 011 Educational and Pedagogical Sciences and 015 Vocational Education (by specializations); established international cooperation and implementation of the principles of academic and professional mobility.
Tetiana Mykolaivna Horokhivska (2022 - present), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, and author of more than 120 scientific and methodological works, continues to implement the course of the PIO Department for new scientific achievements and creative results. The scientific school of T. M. Horokhivska covers the study of the problems of professional development of scientific and pedagogical workers, the formation of professional and pedagogical competence of teachers of technical higher education institutions, and scientific and methodological features of postgraduate pedagogical education. Since 2015. T. M. Horokhivska was engaged in the organization, conducting and scientific and methodological support of the Advanced Training Courses for Academic Staff of Lviv Polytechnic National University under the program "Development of Professional and Pedagogical Competence of a Teacher of a Higher Education Institution". Under her leadership, more than 1.5 thousand academic staff of Lviv Polytechnic have undergone advanced training.
