The first training in a series of three planned events as part of the project «European Experience in Implementing Quality Management Systems for Products and Services», which is being implemented under the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module was held.
For two days (February 16-17, 2023), more than 70 Ukrainian specialists in the field of quality management, standardization, certification and metrology from Lviv and the region, Kyiv, Odesa, Cherkasy, Poltava took part in the training.
Its target audience is representatives of enterprises, organizations, and institutions of higher education who are interested in quality management issues in various industries, i.e., both service providers and those who produce products, since the international European standards discussed are universal for all industries.

The representatives of the National standardization authority of Ukraine (UkrNDNC, UAS) – the State Enterprise «Ukrainian Scientific-Research and Training Center of Standardization, Certification and Quality Problems», who are directly involved in the development of these standards in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), took part in the event. Natalia Silonova, Head of the Department of Management Systems of the National standardization authority of Ukraine , emphasized the importance of spreading knowledge and European experience on the issues discussed.
Members of the technical standardization committee in the field of quality management systems of Ukraine TC 189 "Quality management systems" Roman Baitsar and Viktor Horopatskyi shared relevant information about new European standards and their implementation in Ukraine.
The director of the certification department of the international authority for certification Bureau Veritas shared European and international experience in certification and opportunities for audits of quality management systems of products and services.
Reports, speeches and discussions at the training provided an opportunity to get acquainted with various aspects of activity in the field of quality management of products and services. There was a productive exchange of experience between domestic experienced and young scientists and practitioners. Dissemination of knowledge about European integration processes, raising the level of public awareness of European integration and conducting research were ensured. It also made it possible to strengthen relationships between institutions of higher education for further cooperation and to ensure the exchange of research results on the subject of the training.
Specialists give positive feedback about the event, assuring that the topic of the training is relevant, they heard 90 percent of new information and plan to continue studying European experience in developing and implementing quality management systems for products and services. Some participants are interested and also plan to participate in ERASMUS+ projects.
The participants of the training were issued certificates of participation and information leaflets about the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project.
