In order to support the formation of the young scientific elite of Ukraine, develop international scientific cooperation and identify the main directions and trends in modern information and measurement technologies, Lviv Polytechnic National University has organised a two-day (November 13–14) 2nd International Scientific and Practical Conference on Information and Measurement Technologies. The event took place in a hybrid format, both online and offline. Representatives of enterprises and organisations, students, postgraduates, doctoral students, lecturers, scientists and all interested persons were invited to participate.
Mykola Mykyichuk, Director of the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology, opened the meeting:
– I am pleased to welcome all of you in Lviv Polytechnic. Holding such events during the war shows that we are united and pursuing our goals together. Lviv Polytechnic has experience in scientific work and research for more than 200 years and is constantly looking for possible collaborations with various scientific schools around the world. This event will give everyone here an opportunity to get new information, expand the knowledge, come up with new ideas and establish new contacts. I express my gratitude to everyone for participating in the conference.
– Today, researchers from most regions of Ukraine take part in the conference, as well as foreign participants, representatives of Lviv city administration, state enterprises and stakeholders. We have tried to cover all possible aspects of this topic within the conference, so we have theoretical foundations, cyber-physical systems, metrological activities and robotics. All these aspects are combined, contributing to the development of technology and the economy», said Tetiana Bubela, Head of the Department of Measuring Information Technologies.
Orest Hryniv, Director of the Economic Policy Department, Lviv Regional Administration, Andriy Sliuz, Director General of the State Enterprise «Lvivstandardmetrology», and Oleksandr Tkachenko, Director of the State Enterprise «Scientific-research Institute for Metrology of Measurement and Control Systems» (DP NDI «Systema») took part in the conference.
The co-organisers of the conference were the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Lviv Polytechnic National University, the Academy of Metrology of Ukraine, the State Enterprise «Scientific-research Institute for Metrology of Measurement and Control Systems», the State Enterprise «Lvivstandardmetrology», the State Enterprise «Ivano-Frankivskstandardmetrology», SoftServe, TU Ilmenau, Germany, and Ignacy Lukasiewicz University of Technology in Rzeszow, Poland.
