Winners of competitive selection of regional development projects within the framework of the Sectoral Support Program of the European Union have been determined. The relevant decision was made by the Competition Commission. The projects will be implemented at the expense of the state budget received from the EU. 56 projects worth over 535 million hryvnias have been selected and will be recommended for funding in 2021.
Among the winners of the competitive selection under the program «Effective management of regional development» are the Department of Administrative and Financial Management and Tech StartUp School, Lviv Polytechnic National University, with the project «Cooperation for economic growth of the Carpathians (communities of Zakarpattia, Lviv, Chernivtsi and Ivano – Frankivsk Oblasts)». Its applicant is Agency of Regional Development of Zakarpattia Oblast.
It should be noted that this is the second project-winner of the EU Sectoral Support Program by Lviv Polytechnic researchers. Let us remind that under the program «Innovative Economy and Investment» the winner was the project «The development of the bioeconomy of the Western region of Ukraine: production of eco-containers from biodegradable polymers», initiated by Lviv Polytechnic National University together with Lviv Regional State Administration.
