Lviv Polytechnic National University runs the training course «Protection of cultural heritage for civil servants». In October, its participants will attend seven professional lectures.
Architects of Borynia, Velyki Mosty, Drohobych, Mykolaiv, and Stryi communities as well as Olena Vasylko, chief architect of the region, head of the Department of Architecture and Development of Urban Planning, Lviv Regional Military Administration, take part in the experimental training program.
Yurii Dubyk and Oleh Rybchynskyi, Associate Professors at the Department of Architecture and Сonservation, the Institute of Architecture and Design, Lviv Polytechnic, as well as Volodymyr Herych, a senior researcher at the Borys Voznytsky Lviv National Art Gallery, will deliver course lectures.
The topics of the classes relate to Ukrainian and international legislation in the field of protection and preservation of cultural heritage, regimes and protection zones of historic cities, historical and architectural reference plans, reserves and protected areas, rules for the restoration of monuments, etc. After completing the course and passing the exam, the students will receive an official document certifying the improvement of their qualifications.
