For four days, from September 1 to 3, Lviv Polytechnic became the center of consolidation of the most active and efficient Ukrainian women from 27 countries of the world. International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations organized a large-scale project – the First International Assembly «Ukrainian women in the World: Professionalism, Activism and Tradition» on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations – one of the most respected women’s organizations in the world.
The event started with an annual meeting of the World Federation of Ukrainian Women’s Organizations (WFUWO) under the direction of Anna Kysil.
In general, these days in Lviv Polytechnic the participants have been extremely busy discussing the cases which each of the present women deals with in their communities, countries of residence, as well as telling interesting stories of their successes.
At the conclusion of the Assembly «Ukrainian women in the World: Professionalism, Activism and Tradition» they adopted a resolution, in which among many other proposals there was one to address to the President of Ukraine with the proposal to create in the Cabinet of Ministers a separate Ministry for World Ukrainian Affairs.
