On October 14, the Center for International Education, Lviv Polytechnic National University, organized a meeting for students with a graduate of the Global UGRAD program and a scholarship holder of the Zavtra.ua program. Olha Viun shared her impressions of participating in them, talked about opportunities and prospects for graduates of scholarship funds, and gave advice on filling out application forms.
The participants of the meeting were greeted by Khrystyna Barvinska, who is responsible for the US programs at the Center for International Education. She wished everyone success in submitting applications and winning.
Global UGRAD is a cultural exchange program which aims to deepen knowledge about culture and traditions for the 1st-2nd year students, which is carried out by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State. Finalists in the program will study for one academic semester without a degree at a university in the United States of America in any major, will have the opportunity to study English, if necessary, and will participate in volunteer activities, professional development seminars and cultural activities. It is essential for candidates to be highly motivated and demonstrate leadership qualities through academic work, volunteering, extracurricular and/or community activities. Detailed information and access to the application form can be obtained on the website of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
This year, documents can be submitted online until December 15, 2023, but you should not leave everything until the last day.
In 2023, two students of Lviv Polytechnic National University – Sofiia Vaida (ME-36, IEM) and Yelyzaveta Rychalovska (BI-31, ITRE) – has won and will study at American universities for one semester in 2024.
Zavtra.UA scholarship program of the Viktor Pinchuk Foundation has been searching for and supporting gifted and goal-oriented students of higher education institutions for 18 years. Acceptance and registration of students’ documents through the registration form on the Zavtra. UA program website will continue until November 30, 2023.
