A public initiative Center for the Salvation of Cultural Heritage has been created in order to assist government agencies in the protection and preservation of historical and cultural monuments, sacred buildings and collections of cultural institutions in Lviv.
The Center started operating on March 2, 2022 in the premises of the Scientific and Technical Library of Lviv Polytechnic National University (1 Profesorska Street).
The following events are planned here in the near future.
- To appeal to international cultural organizations to help with equipment and materials for the protection and preservation of historical and cultural monuments, sacred buildings, and collections of cultural institutions.
- To request to the Territorial Defense to take under its protection historical and cultural monuments, sacred buildings and cultural institutions.
- To establish permanent work of the information and logistics office of the Center for the Salvation of Cultural Heritage in the premises of the Scientific and Technical Library, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
