Deputies of the Lviv Regional Council voted to change the type and name of communal facilities: Vynnyky general educational sanatorium school of I-III degrees and Lviv general educational sanatorium school No. 1 of I-III degrees named after B.-I. Antonych to scientific lyceums – Vynnyky Scientific Lyceum and Lviv Scientific Lyceum No. 1 named after B.-I. Antonych.
Two regional sanatorium schools will be gradually reformed – regional council deputies have determined a five-year transitional period until 2027. During this time, the Vynnyky Scientific Lyceum and the Lviv Scientific Lyceum No. 1 named after B.-I. Antonych will run sanatorium-type classes and classes of a scientific lyceum.
There are currently four sanatorium schools operating in Lviv region. Two of them will be reformed in cooperation with researchers from Lviv Polytechnic National University and Ivan Franko Lviv National University. A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between sanatorium schools and institutions of higher education.
Let’s remind you that back in January 2022, Vynnyky and Lviv sanatorium schools signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Lviv Polytechnic National University and the SID City Science Park of Lviv Polytechnic, which provides for:
- joint development of educational programs for lyceums students which will include a scientific component, specialization and conducting applied and empirical research by students;
- coordination of activities related to determining the priorities of the educational process in lyceums;
- organization and counseling of schools students regarding the writing of research projects;
- conducting joint events, etc.
