Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Mykola Trofymenko, speaking with Anton Borkovskyi, highlighted the high level of the technical base of Lviv Polytechnic National University. On the air of Espresso, he spoke about the University’s science parks, describing them as «among the best in Ukraine» and also praised the institution’s strong technical support.
«Lviv Polytechnic has a very powerful science park, where part of the property belongs to the University. Conditions are created there for the development of startups and ideas. And this is probably the best science park that I have seen in Ukraine today», said Mykola Trofymenko.
A science park is a place on the basis of a scientific institution with technical support, which is co-financed by investors.
Also the Deputy Minister noted the training of specialists in the field of artificial intelligence, who are being trained by Lviv Polytechnic:
«Many of our universities, within the scope of their autonomy, are developing their own regulations for working with artificial intelligence, as it should be used as an assistant to facilitate search procedures and analyses that currently require significant time. This saved time can instead be dedicated to creativity and other activities that only humans can perform. Therefore, I believe that artificial intelligence must be integrated, actively studied, and widely applied. And I am grateful that we have such specialists and institutional leaders as Nataliia Shakhovska who are able to professionally guide us along this path», noted Mykola Trofymenko.
