On February 2, Patrizio Campana, ex-president of the Rotary Club of Brescia Vittoria Alata, Italy, who announced financial support for the purchase of new equipment for automating the production of hydrogel dressings in the summer of 2023, visited the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies. A commemorative plaque of the club was installed on the purchased equipment.
In July 2023, it became known that the Rotary Club, Italy, wants to financially support the production of Aquior hydrogel dressings at Lviv Polytechnic. It purchased the appropriate equipment for the automation of the technological line for the production of hydrogel fabric.
At the request of the scientific group, with the financial support of Patrizio Campana, ex-president of the Rotary Club of Brescia Vittoria Alata, as well as with the assistance of Lviv Rotary Clubs «Lviv – Center» and «Ukraine Unity», an IKA RV 10 Control V rotary evaporator has been purchased.
Patrizio Campana visited the 8th academic building of Lviv Polytechnic, where he was shown the working and future laboratories for the production of hydrogel dressings and the operation of the rotary evaporator. A commemorative plaque was ceremoniously installed on the device.

Such dressings speed up and facilitate the healing process and are means of wet healing of wounds and burns, which are much more effective than dry. At Lviv Polytechnic, they are made several times cheaper than imported counterparts. These hydrogel dressings can be filled with various therapeutic agents, they are much thinner, stronger than analogues, and are made on the basis of natural raw materials, so they do not cause allergic reactions and have the property of decomposing naturally.
