Representatives of the Japanese company ISec, Yohi Suzuki, Nozomi Kobori and Kanon Fujita, whose main area of activity is cybersecurity and IT technologies, visited Lviv Polytechnic. The intention to establish strong channels of communication between the participants and fruitful cooperation was repeatedly voiced at the meeting.
The main motivation for cooperation is the need of ISec to open an operations center in Europe, as the company expands its customer base. And this is especially necessary for users who are engaged in production and need round-the-clock protection. The time difference between Ukraine and Japan is 7 hours, so when Japanese cybersecurity workers will be sleeping, their work will be done by employees of the operations center in Ukraine. Another significant advantage is the rapid pace of development of the IT industry in Ukraine, a high level of training, comfortable location and excellent working conditions, including for doing business. Also the company wants to work with students who are interested in working in Japan and have a quality basic technical education.
"We hope that today we will be able to establish strong relations with Lviv, in particular with Lviv Polytechnic. Not so long ago we talked to the Mayor's Office of our hometown Kobe and later - the Mayor's Office of Lviv, they recommended us to contact you, the leading University with professional academic staff and smart students. As you know, many different international events have taken place in Japan recently, and, of course, this trend cannot but raise security issues, including information and cybersecurity. Today we have the best specialists working on this issue, because it is very important for our country. The peculiarity of ISec's work is that we employ many foreigners", said Nozomi Kobori, ISec's consultant.
Natalia Hots, Head of the Center for International Education at Lviv Polytechnic, said that ways should be sought to establish relations between the University and international companies, as IT technologies are becoming increasingly international. Valerii Dudykevych, the Department of Information Security, Volodymyr Maksymovych and Olena Niemkova, the Department of Information Technology Security, Oleh Lohush, Head of Production Practice at Lviv Polytechnic, and Japanese teacher Myron Fedoryshyn told about the experience of cooperation between Ukrainian and foreign IT companies, prospects for cooperation with ISec company, and shared their own experiences and achievements that would be interesting to the guests from Japan.
