A large-scale presentation of the works of the People’s Artist of Ukraine covers the period from 1982 to 2024.
«The Road to Myself» at the Green Sofa Gallery shows a bronze easel sculpture. With this exhibition, the artist showed his own road to himself and what important and interesting things he found on that road.
These sculptures are mostly human figures in different poses, each of which says something to the viewer. They are imprinted on the memory for a long time, as the author seems to penetrate into people’s souls, deeply exploring them.
On the initiative of Liudmyla Andrushko, Associate Professor at the Department of Graphics and Book Art, students majoring in Graphic Design, visited the artist’s exhibition. Volodymyr Ovsiichuk, well-known art critic, characterized Odrekhivskyi’s works as Ukrainian poetic sculpture.
The exhibition features 21 sculptures representing different periods of the artist’s life and metaphorically depicting the search for harmony, interaction with people, and the path to spiritual peace. Their symbolism lies in the figurative expression of humanistic values of goodness and harmony in the world.
«The Road to Myself» by Volodymyr Odrekhivskyi is a reflection on high spiritual values, the path to oneself, to identity, to the victory of the spirit and to a great victory over darkness.
