The International Institute of Education, Culture and Diaspora Relations starts its work on the project «Ukrainian Educational Universe Portal» (map and forum of Ukrainian Saturday Schools). The idea of such a portal appeared during the First World Forum for Ukrainian Saturday and Sunday Schools that brought together educators from 36 countries. The implementation of this project was made possible due to the financial support at the crowdfunding platform startera.org by those who understood the importance of this project. We are deeply grateful to the project sponsors, namely, the Ukrainian World Foundation, Buduchnist Credit Union, Caisse populaire Desjardins Ukrainienne de Montréal, Ms. Ulana Pidzamecky, the Ukrainian School Veselka in the Netherlands and the Ukrainian School at the Cathedral of Saint Volodymyr the Great in Paris.
The project aims to help Ukrainian Saturday and Sunday schools abroad that teach Ukrainian Studies subjects and to establish effective professional communication.
There is still no register of Ukrainian Saturday and Sunday Schools abroad, which undoubtedly complicates teachers’ communication and isolates them. The project will promote networking, formation of educational environment, development and strengthening of Ukrainian schools abroad, whose students in the future will be carriers of true knowledge about Ukraine and Ukrainian culture in their countries of residence.
The «Ukrainian Educational Universe Portal» is the first online communication platform that will allow quickly and efficiently creating new intellectual product, sharing experiences, as well as seeking and finding new approaches to work with children of different ages.
