Long-term cooperation with practicing professionals in the field of public finance makes it possible to provide high-quality educational programs at Lviv Polytechnic National University. Recently, a meeting of experienced financiers-practitioners with students and teachers took place at the Department of Finance, the Institute of Economics and Management.
- Associate Professor Oleh Demkiv, Director of the Department of Finance, Lviv Regional Military Administration, gave a lecture on the topic «Financial resources and expenditures of the budgets of territorial communities», and invited students to an internship at Lviv Regional Military Administration.
- Vasyl Lemishovskyi, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Vice-Rector for Economic Affairs at Lviv Polytechnic, focused the attention of those present on the need to acquire knowledge in the field of finance in order to ensure effective financial management at the state and local levels.
- Andrii Melnyk, Chief Accountant at Lviv Polytechnic National University, supported the opinion of his colleagues and wished the students of higher education to master the knowledge shared by practitioners and teachers of the Department of Finance, because without professional personnel there is no future.
- Professor Mariia Bondarchuk, Doctor of Economics, Head of the Department of Finance, thanked the practicing professionals for the long-term cooperation with the Department, for the training of highly professional personnel, and noted the importance of the integration of higher education institutions with state financial management bodies in order to train students according to current educational programs.
- Professor Ihor Alieksieiev, Doctor of Economics, noted that the Department of Finance actively engages practicing lecturers to ensure high-quality financial education.
The faculty of the Department of Finance discussed the issue of improving the competencies of educational programs at different levels of training. Students of higher education received answers to all questions, and also offered their vision for improving the public finance management system.
The Department of Finance expresses its sincere gratitude to Oleh Demkiv, Vasyl Lemishovskyi and Andrii Melnyk for the invaluable experience in the field of finance that they pass on to the younger generation, and hopes to continue cooperation regarding the training of highly professional personnel for public finance management.
