Masters of Science in Marketing Mariia Velyka and Uliana Shybunka and logistics student Viktoriia Andrukhiv, students of the Department of Marketing and Logistics, the Institute of Economics and Management, Lviv Polytechnic, share their experience of student exchange. For a semester they studied at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Lemgo, Germany, within the framework of the Erasmus+ EU’s Program.
Maria and Ulyana share their impressions:
«Thanks to the cooperation of the Department of Marketing and Logistics, Lviv Polytechnic National University and the University in Lemgo, we had the opportunity to join the Erasmus+ program, where we gained invaluable experience. Germany is a wonderful country that is available for students who want to explore the world while continuing their academic pursuits.
We learned from experienced teachers, got hands-on experience, and immersed ourselves in German culture and history. The local Erasmus office held cultural events for international students, where we got to know representatives of different countries.
By studying in another country, we learned about other cultures, became more open-minded, improved our language skills and made new friends. But the advantages of the Erasmus+ program go beyond this: it contributed to personal development, we became more independent and self-sufficient. We hope that this experience will help us in our careers».
Victoria is also satisfied with her stay in Germany:
«After spending a whole semester under the mobility program, I got a unique experience. The first is people. We met students from Turkey, Bolivia, South Korea, India, and other countries. It’s so cool to chat and make friends with so many different people!
The second is, of course, study. It was useful to understand the style of teaching and presentation of information. University teachers and professors are open and helpful in different situations. Also, various activities for getting to know each other and having a good time were often held, eg. hiking in the mountains, watching various films and attending parties. I am very glad that I studied under the mobility program. It is one of the most pleasant memories of my student life!».
Thus, the girls advise Lviv Polytechnic students to join the Erasmus+ program, if such an opportunity arises.
