The IEEE 11th International Conference on Nanomaterials: Applications & Properties took place in Odesa. The researchers from 37 countries, including Oksana Balaban, an academic at the Department of Applied Physics and Nanomaterials Science, Institute of Applied Mathematics and Fundamental Sciences, Lviv Polytechnic, attended the event.
Oksana Balaban presented the work Promising cathode material based on inorganic nanocomposites for Li + -intercalation current generation by O. Balaban, N. Mitina, A. Zaichenko, O. Izhyk, B. Venhryn, A. Andrushchak. She also attended the IEEE Young Professionals Meet-Up & Mixer meeting and the Women in Science & Engineering: Networking Event & Mixer section.
The Chairman of the Conference and members of the Organizing Committee highly appreciated the work presented by Oksana Balaban on the following issues:
- the breadth of the speaker’s knowledge in their field;
- clarity of presentation and communication skills;
- technical quality of materials (for example, slides).
According to the results of the voting, the representative of Lviv Polytechnic received the Best Presentation Award with the Rising Star in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology certificate.
Thus, the treasury of international awards of employees of the Department of Applied Physics and Nanomaterials Science was replenished with a new victory.
