On August 7, a Memorandum of Interaction and Cooperation was signed between representatives of Lviv Polytechnic, Hi-Tech Office Ukraine and the South Korean Medical Consortium, which envisages the establishment of the International Medical Cluster. Representatives of Israel, Poland, Northern Ireland and the United States also joined the project. The main basis for the International Medical Cluster will be SID City Science Park of Lviv Polytechnic.
«I have no doubt that this project will be implemented. After all, the potential of Lviv Polytechnic – scientific, intellectual and financial – is extremely powerful. When we implement project on Science Park and Medical Cluster, we will have results that will affect the prestige of Lviv Polytechnic and Lviv region in general», said Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University Yurii Bobalo.
One of the priority tasks of the Medical Cluster is the research of stem cells and their use to rejuvenate the body. In addition, the equipment that will be manufactured will be supplied to the markets of Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
«The main purpose of creating a Cluster is to help overcome the epidemic. I am convinced that this is not the last challenge for humanity, that is why Cluster will help unite the efforts of international partners for the development of medicine, science and thus implement research into practice››, said Director of SID City Science Park, Lviv Polytechnic, Nazarii Podolchak.
