According to the UNESCO Institute for Statistics, only 28% of researchers in the world are women, and in Ukraine – 45%. Our country is ranked 12th in the women researchers ranking among 41 countries in the world.
Ukrainian women successfully work in various fields of science. Most female researchers are in the social sciences (65.8%), medical sciences (65.2%) and the humanities (60.3%). In the field of technical sciences, there are 34.1% of women.
The Ukrainian National News Agency «Ukrinform» offers the TOP-10 successful Ukrainian female researchers, among whom there are both well known for their achievements women, and those who have just appeared in the field of science.
