On 18 December 2024, Lviv Polytechnic National University hosted an Erasmus+ InfoDay on Practical aspects for success in international project activities, organised by the Project Office. Almost 60 participants took part in the event in a hybrid format.
The event took place in two stages. At the beginning of the Erasmus+ InfoDay, Professor Nataliya Chukhray, Doctor of Economics, Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations, welcomed the participants and stressed the importance of international projects for the University’s development and cooperation with European educational institutions.
The event was moderated by Nazarii Andrushchak, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Head of the Project Office. He told about the activities of the Project Office, and outlined its contribution to the development of international activities and its role in supporting and implementing grant projects.
Vita Horak, Candidate of Historical Sciences, leading specialist at the Office, told about the opportunities of the Erasmus+ Key Action 2 for higher education institutions for 2025, describing in detail the conditions for participation in the most interesting calls for Polytechnicians and focusing on the practical aspects of preparing a project application.
The next speaker, Svitlana Holovchak, a specialist at the Project Office, spoke about the Jean Monnet programme, which promotes the development of European studies in higher education and the strengthening of European values among students and academics.
The second part of the event featured a roundtable discussion on Best Practices and Experience of Implementing Erasmus+ Projects at Lviv Polytechnic. The moderator of the event, Associate Professor Nazarii Andrushchak, briefly told about the University’s successful cases in the Erasmus+ programme (KA2 and Jean Monnet).
The main speakers of the roundtable were Pavlo Zhezhnych, Yaryna Turchyn and Anna Shiling.
- Professor Pavlo Zhezhnych, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Vice-Rector for Education and Informatization, spoke about his own experience of successful preparation and implementation of the well-known project for capacity building in higher education – OPTIMA (Open Practices, Transparency and Integrity for Modern Academia (CBHE, Strand 2)).
- Professor Yaryna Turchyn, Doctor of Political Sciences, Director of the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, shared practical advice on the preparation of Jean Monnet projects, as well as her own experience and difficulties in implementing projects in this area (EUSTS, EU_LEAD, EU EPIOFU).
- Anna Shiling, Candidate of Technical Sciences Associate Professor at the Department of Social Communication and Information Activities, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, spoke about several Erasmus+ cooperation projects (Welcome!, Wellteens, AGILE, Baltics4UA (KA 220)), which are successfully implemented on her initiative and participation, and provided practical advice on project preparation and communication with partners.
The Erasmus+ Infoday became an important event for the exchange of experience and knowledge, contributing to the development of international relations and further support for Erasmus+ projects at Lviv Polytechnic.
