Six Ukrainian student projects received grants from the national IT education development competition. The competition was organized by GlobalLogic as part of GlobalLogic Education. 105 team projects from 42 educational institutions and 16 cities of Ukraine took part in the competition. The total fund was $ 20,000.
The finalists were two projects by teams from Lviv Polytechnic National University:
- chat-bot in Machine learning and Deep learning;
- launch of an online course on the principles of sensors.
Among the winners there are also:
- a project on the creation of a new methodology of the educational process based on peer-to-peer technology from the team of the National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute»;
- development of a unique platform at the junction of medicine and IT from the team of Vinnytsia National Technical University;
- updating the «Operating Systems» course from Odesa National Polytechnic University;
- online course «Circuit design» for the Coursera platform from the National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute».
About 80% of the initiatives concerned the technical direction of study. Almost half of all projects were ideas for creating online courses and digitizing existing study programs.
At the same time, almost every team included not only teachers, but students as well. This indicates the interest of young people in the development of Ukrainian education.
All grant projects under the terms of the competition must be implemented during the year. The company’s experts will work with the teams and help implement their projects on time. In addition to the winning teams, by the end of 2021, 12 more participating teams will receive financial assistance to develop their ideas.
