Our University's international cooperation with Chinese partners opens new horizons. To attract international students, representatives of Lviv Polytechnic National University organized an official online meeting on May 18 with the administration of Wuhu Institute of Technology, Tongling Vocational and Technical College and representatives of more than two dozen Chinese recruitment companies.
Lviv Polytechnic was represented by Nataliya Chukhray, Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations, Mykhailo Yastrubskyi, Head of the Center for Chinese-Ukrainian Cooperation, Serhii Kupchak, Head of the Department for Foreign Students, and Lutfor Rahman, Representative of the Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens.
At the meeting Nataliya Chukhray greeted the participants and gave an introductory presentation of the achievements of Polytechnicians. Over the last year, Lviv Polytechnic has been replenished with new students from China, who in total ranked second among international students at the University, second only to students from Poland. Nataliya Chukhray also noted that Polytechnic is ready to further develop cooperation with Chinese partners - from student education to joint research grant programs.
The multinational team plans to consolidate and increase the results of international cooperation, expand opportunities for recruiting Chinese students seeking to obtain a quality education at the prestigious European University – Lviv Polytechnic.
- Cultural and educational exchange has always been an important part of China-Ukrainian relations. Recently, both sides have achieved new successes in cooperation in the field of education, in particular in teaching students. The friendship between our peoples is becoming stronger and stronger. China-Ukraine relations have always been sincere, and we have lived together in equality and mutual benefit, said Dong Tzun, director of the Ukrainian International Recruitment Center in Wuhu, China.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on strategic cooperation between the Wuhu Institute of Technology, the Tongling Vocational and Technical College and Lviv Polytechnic. Zhiqiu Education Technology and the Tonling Training Center, represented by Director Jin Guohong, established the Tonling Ukrainian International Recruitment Center for Lviv Polytechnic. A representative of the Wuhu Training Committee, Mr. Dong Shybin, also agreed with the company to establish the Wuhu Ukrainian International Student Recruitment Center. Cooperation between Chinese and Ukrainian participants will be based on the principles of equality, mutual benefit and security.
