On October 26–27, 2023, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine together with the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine in partnership with international organizations will hold the Second International Conference «Open Science and Innovation in Ukraine 2023».
Researchers, librarians, managers, and staff of research libraries, managers and administrators of institutional repositories, experts from research offices of higher education institutions, IT technology specialists, publishers of scientific journals, developers of scientific information platforms and systems, doctoral students and young scientists, project managers, business leaders, startup co-organizers, members of library associations, and everyone who wants to join the discussion on the implementation of best practices and future prospects for development in the field of Open Science are invited to participate.
The main directions of the conference correspond to the main tasks of the National Plan for Open Science, approved by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of October 8, 2022 No. 892-p:
- development and support of open research (especially digital) infrastructure;
- reforming practices of scientific research evaluation;
- ensuring open access to research results;
- open research data and reproducibility of scientific research;
- development, opportunities and barriers in achieving scientific knowledge, involving citizens to participate in scientific and scientific and technical activities for implementation in Ukraine;
- Citizen Science: development, barriers and opportunities for Ukrainian citizens involvement into scientific and scientific-technical research in Ukraine
- innovations in Ukraine: opening new horizons.
The international experts, in particular the management of the Directorate of Research and Innovation of the European Commission, which is responsible for the formation of the open access policy, will attend the conference. In addition, leading scientists and experts in the field of scientometrics, librarianship, open data and open will also participate in the event.
Abstracts for the collection of conference materials must be submitted in accordance with the conditions listed on the conference website.
