Under such a motto, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Lviv Regional and Lviv City Employment Centers traditionally organized the XXX Jubilee Career Fair. This year, fifty enterprises, organizations and institutions, which offered graduates of higher education institutions a lot of perspective and profitable vacancies, attended the event.
In a welcoming speech to the participants of the Fair, the rector of Lviv Polytechnic, Professor Yurii Bobalo, expressed hope that this year’s Career Fair will help student better understand the requirements of the employers and facilitate the adaptation of future specialists to the working conditions of the modern enterprises.
Vasyl Baryliuk, Acting Director of the Lviv Regional Employment Center, reminded that the motto of this year’s Career Fair is not accidental, as the labor market is now dynamically changing. If a few years ago in Lviv there were not enough vacancies and there was excess demand for labor, 10 or more people applied for one job, today we see a completely different picture. Firms and companies need more people, they experience the disastrous lack of personnel.
According to Svitlana Hladun, the Head of the Department of Employment and Industrial Relations of Lviv Polytechnic, every year, due to annual Career Fairs, University expands its cooperation with firms and companies where graduates will be able to work. This year, in particular, there were established fruitful relations with such companies and financial institutions as a public company Khlibprom Concern, Nestle Business Services Lviv, Vodafone Ukraine, a joint-stock company Oshchadbank, AVIVA and many others.
