The Department of Finance was established by the order of the Rector of the Lviv Polytechnic National University (№ 72-10 from 23.04.2002) on the basis of the Department of Economics, Finance and Accounting without changing the educational work profile. Over the years, it has become a leading training center in western Ukraine, has achieved significant success in research work. Its achievements include more than 500 scientific papers: 370 published articles, 17 textbooks, books, and manuals.
The department is headed by Professor, ScD Bondarchuk Maria. Additionally, 6 ScD and professors, 27 PhD and associate professors are involved in the training of specialists. Also, leading specialists and practitioners are involved in teaching certain training courses. Combining a highly qualified teaching staff with experienced practitioners has its advantages, which affect not only the level of training and professional development of specialists, but also their personal qualities, their worldview, level of understanding of life situations and upbringing. High scientific potential allows the department to provide the appropriate level of training for future work in the new economic conditions.
