The University Project Office informs you about the competition Development of novel, high-performance bio-based polymers and co-polymers within the Horizon Europe Framework Programme.
The purpose of the competition is to promote the development of new highly effective materials for European industry.
Proposals must contribute to the achievement of the following expected results:
- availability of a wider range of bioproducts that meet market requirements;
- the discovery of new applications not currently covered by biopolymers;
- improved robustness, safety and circularity compared to state-of-the-art tests based on fossil or biological material;
- significant improvements in environmental performance across the value chain compared to certain benchmarks of fossil and/or biological production;
- improved circularity and efficiency of resource use thanks to the practical application of the circular (bio)economy concept.
Successful proposals can also contribute to the objectives of the Sustainable Products Initiative (SPI) and the Strategy for Sustainable Textile.
The deadline for application submission is September 20, 2023.
