The annual ranking of the best universities in Europe and Central Asia for 2022 (QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia University Rankings 2022), which includes 450 best higher education institutions, including 41 from Ukraine, has been published. The ranking is produced by the global research and consulting center QS Quacquarelli Symonds.
Ben Sauter, Director of the QS Analytical Department, said that the number of Ukrainian higher education institutions among the best in Eastern Europe and Central Asia has raised up to 41, which is an absolute record in the history of this regional ranking.
Top 5 Ukrainian higher education institutions included in the ranking:
- Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (total place – 35);
- National Technical University of Ukraine «Ihor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» (63);
- V. Karazin Kharkiv National University (69);
- National Technical University «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute» (105);
- Lviv Polytechnic National University (106).
This year’s QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia University Rankings has been constructed using 10 indicators, including academic and employer reputation, faculty/student ratio, papers per faculty, international research network, web impact, staff with a PhD, citations per paper, international faculty and international students.
