The team of the Project Office, Lviv Polytechnic National University, joined the preparation of a large-scale project for the program «Cultural Heritage» from the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation, work on which lasted more than one year.
Creation of the Virtual Museum of Science and Technology – an initiative that united Polytechnicians from different Departments – Department of History, Museum Studies and Cultural Heritage, Department of Artificial Intelligence, Department of Heat Engineering and Thermal and Nuclear Power Plants, and Department of Computer-Aided Design – to renovate the Vehicle hall of the University.
The work on this project application, which provided an opportunity to meet interesting researchers in the humanities and technology, was fruitful in setting up virtualization of perennial exhibits, interesting in finding information about them and effective in uniting people around the concept of such a project.
In case of victory, this joint work will give the opportunity to Liliia Zhuk, Vice-Rector for Education and Strategic Development, and all involved Polytechnicians to give new life to the Vehicle hall – to create a Virtual Museum of Science and Technology.
The project developers hope that the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation will pay attention to this initiative and this spring the interactive museum will receive funding and start working in the fall to promote the history of science and technology in one of the top higher education institutions in Ukraine and abroad.
