On this occasion, on June 19, a delegation of 18 persons, including representatives of government and enterprises, from the Chinese city of Shenzhou, paid a visit to University.
The meeting was held as part of the global development strategy of the PRC government, entitled The Belt and Road Initiative, aimed at China’s trade, economic, cultural, scientific and technological cooperation with European countries.
The Government delegation included the Secretary for Economic Development in Shengzhou, the Vice Minister of the Organizational Department in Shenzhou, the Director of Southern New Zone (Sanjiang sub-district) and others. The guests were welcomed by the Rector of the University Professor Yurii Bobalo, Vice-Rectors Oleh Matviikiv and Roman Korzh, and the Head of the Center for International Education Nataliia Hotz.
Both sides participated in the roundtable discussion Shanxi Talents Entrepreneurship and Innovation, which aims to establish cooperation and joint researches between Chinese enterprises and our university in the field of information technology. The head of the delegation told the audience about Shenzhou City, in particular, its manufacturing sector, and also emphasized that the purpose of the visit to Lviv is to seek highly qualified specialists among students and graduates of Lviv Polytechnic.
Within the framework of the event, the rector signed master contracts on cooperation with fifteen Shenzhou companies in various fields. Subsequently, the directors of Polytechnic Institutes presented their institutions to the guests. At the end there was a thematic discussion.
