The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has announced the call for a short-term program The Study of the U.S. Institutes for Scholars (SUSI). These are intensive postgraduate academic programs that provide university professors and scholars with the opportunity to expand their understanding of U.S. society, culture, values and institutions. The goal of the program is to improve curricula and the quality of teaching on topics related to the United States in academic institutions abroad.
The program is designed for Ukrainian scholars who want to integrate U.S. studies into their curricula, develop new courses, or improve their teaching about the United States. The program is 5–6 weeks long and is held at the U.S. universities and colleges.
The SUSI for Scholars will be held at various colleges, universities and academic institutions across the United States for five to six weeks in the summer of 2025. Each institute includes a four-week academic residency and a one-week integrated study tour of the United States.
